Distribution of a book against Female Genital Mutilation in Egypt
Book by the Egyptian Minister of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hamdi Mahmoud Zakzouk, brings us one step closer to ending Female Genital Mutilation
90,000 copies of a small book containing clear declarations from the most eminent Islamic scholars and Government members against the crime of Female Gential Mutilation have been handed out to all imams in Egypt. This is one of the most hopeful outcomes of TARGET’s Conference of Scholars held in November 2006. |
